Privacy Policy

This policy covers ColorGull and every other app in the Gull Apps family, published by TomDApps LLC ("we", "us"). It applies to the apps themselves and to this website, gullkids.com.

Information we collect

None. We do not ask for it, we do not receive it, and we have no servers that could store it.

Specifically, the apps do not collect or transmit any of the following:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers or postal addresses
• Dates of birth, ages or gender
• Photographs, videos or audio recordings
• Location of any kind, precise or approximate
• Device identifiers, advertising identifiers or IP addresses
• Contacts, calendars, photo library contents or other apps' data
• Usage analytics, session recordings, heatmaps or crash reports

Because nothing is collected, our App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected".

Information stored on your device

The apps do save a small amount of information locally, so a child can pick up where they left off. This never leaves the device and we cannot see it.

Progress

Stickers earned and levels completed, stored in the app's own settings. A grown-up can erase all of it at any time from the Parent Zone, using "Reset progress".

Voice recordings you choose to make

Some Gull apps let a parent record the spoken prompts in their own voice, so a child hears a familiar person. This is entirely optional and is the only reason an app would ever ask for microphone access.

Recordings are written to the app's private folder on your device. They are used only to play back inside the app. They are never uploaded, never shared, and never analysed, by us or by anyone else. You can delete any recording from the Parent Zone, or remove all of them at once by deleting the app.

A child cannot start a recording. The recording controls sit behind the parental gate described below.

Children's privacy

Gull apps are designed for young children, and we take that seriously.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, because we do not collect personal information from anyone. There is no sign-up, no profile, no chat, no messaging, no user-generated content that can be shared, no social media integration, and no way for a child to communicate with anyone through the app.

We believe this approach satisfies the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, for the straightforward reason that there is no personal data being processed.

Parental gate

Settings intended for adults sit behind a parental gate: a spelled-out arithmetic question that a preschooler cannot read or answer. Nothing behind the gate can spend money or send information anywhere.

Advertising and tracking

There is no advertising of any kind in a Gull app. No banners, no video ads, no sponsored content, no cross-promotion networks.

We do not track you or your child, across our apps or anywhere else. We do not use the Advertising Identifier, we do not fingerprint devices, and the apps never present App Tracking Transparency prompts because there is nothing to ask permission for.

Third parties

Gull apps contain no third-party software. No analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no social media kits, no crash reporting services, no A/B testing frameworks. Nobody else's code runs inside the app.

We therefore have no data-sharing arrangements with anyone, because there is no data and no third party to share it with.

Purchases

Where a Gull app is paid, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.

This website

This site is a set of plain, static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no trackers, and loads no fonts or scripts from other companies.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which may include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. We do not use those logs to build any profile of visitors.

How to remove everything

Delete the app. Everything it stored, including progress and any voice recordings, is removed with it. There is nothing held anywhere else, so there is nothing to request, export or ask us to erase.

To clear progress without deleting the app, open the Parent Zone and choose "Reset progress".

Your rights

Privacy laws give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data that a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to produce or delete. If you would like that confirmed in writing, write to us and we will confirm it.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how a Gull app handles information, we will update this page and change the date at the top before the change ships. If a future app ever needed to collect anything, that would be stated plainly here and inside the app itself, in advance.
